Hi, I am pleased to announce Harvest-1.9.3. This ia a development version. What's new: * Swedish user interface. (Anders Wandahl) This release adds swedish user interface contributed by Anders Wahndal. So, currently we have support for English, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish and Swedish. Work is under way to add translation for Korean and Latin (sic!). It would be nice if we could get other translations as well, especially French would be very nice. The configuration of the idzebra server and modeling data isn't finished yet. It will take some time until I have enough insight in yaz and idzebra to achieve best results. This is on top of my todo list. The integration of yaz/idzebra into Harvest is partially done. It already is usable, but there will be some tweaks necessary until we have the same level of integration like glimpse and swish. For instructions to use idzebra as fulltext indexer, see: http://harvest.sourceforge.net/wip/INSTALL-1.9.txt Hopefully this extra instructions won't be necessary when yaz/idzebra is fully integrated into Harvest. Despite all the points listed above, Harvest already can be used with idzebra as fulltext engine and the performance boost is quite impressive. On my test machine, all queries are answered within three seconds, and most queries just take a second or two instead of ranging from some seconds to some tens of seconds. As always, I appreciate _any_ feedback. I would like to invite everybody interested in developing, using or simply keeping an eye on the future development of Harvest, to join the mailinglist.
